The Fashionchick app guides shoppers through brick & mortar shops

Plot Projects has had the pleasure to be featured in Emerce.nl, one of the most influential Dutch marketing blogs.

The Fashionchick app guides shoppers through brick & mortar shops

The recently renewed Fashionchick app notifies women of nearby shops having a special offer and guides them through shopping streets.

Location Based Notification by Fashionchick

This concerns the Fashionchick shopping network webshops that also sale through physical stores.

Since recently the app uses a module that recognizes locations thanks to GPS and iBeacons. This innovative technology is provided by the Amsterdam-based company Plot Projects.

“We are very happy with the aimed results and the CTR. This way of advertising is not ‘spammy’ but perceived as a service. During the last big sale at the Bijenkorf, we set a 200 meter radius around stores, as it’s proven that small geofences increase conversion”, says Ellen Snijder, CEO of FashionChick.

About 120,000 people downloaded the shopping companion app already. Fashionchick.nl attracts up to half a million unique visitors per month. The Sanoma venture earns money through affiliate deals with connected webshops.
