Exit and Dwelling Time Notifications
Previously our plugin was only able to send a notification when users entered a geofence or beacon region. With version 1.6.0 it is also possible to send a notification when users exit a geofence or when users dwell in a geofence for a period of time. You can create these notifications in our dashboard (under “Advanced settings”) or with our API.
Please note that exit and dwelling time notifications require at least version 1.6.0 of our plugin. Users with older versions of our plugin will not receive these notifications. Be sure to get the latest and greatest version of our plugin from the “Integrate plugin” tab on our dashboard.
Geofence Accuracy Improvements
For the functionality of our plugin we depend on the underlying APIs of Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android operating systems. We have noticed that sometimes they do not work as accurately as they promise. This resulted in notifications being sent while you were not actually inside the geofence. Luckily we were able to add some additional checks so that these false positives are ignored. Although we have seen this problem mostly on iOS, this has been implemented in both the iOS and Android plugins. Be sure to get the latest and greatest version of our plugin from the “Integrate plugin” tab on our dashboard.
