Seamless location marketing with a React Native App [PRODUCT UPDATE]

Due to the growing popularity, we’re glad to announce that we’ve released support for React Native framework integration. Plot Projects’s location marketing power can now be unleashed with React, if this is your framework of choice.

What is React?

For the curious, React Native is a framework maintained by Facebook that allows you to build native mobile apps using JavaScript and React. Its primary purpose is to build simple and scalable apps quickly and effortlessly that will save you time, resources and money. Why is that? The main perk is that there’s no need to code in native languages to build your app (although you can if you’d wish to), and that for both iOS and Android. In addition, React removes some of the unpleasant hurdles many other frameworks suffer, such as having to redeploy your app after each code change. But React is mostly fun because it is overall fast, effective, and extremely versatile.

Who’s using it?

So who’s building React Native apps? From Fortune 500 companies to individuals with little time and resources, React makes building an app virtually painless. Facebook (unsurprisingly), Instagram, Skype, AirBnb, Tesla, Walmart and many more giants switched to React, and from the look of it, the popularity of this framework isn’t slowing down. Although it is fair to note that we’ve seen surges in popularity from other similar frameworks in the past (think Xamarin, Phonegap, Cordova, etc.). Many previous fads have unfortunately not withstand the test of time. We need to give React more time to prove it is here to stay and whether it can maintain its current rise in adoption by companies and app developers. As it is run by mobile app first pioneer Facebook, the outlook does seem promising.

How to integrate Plot Projects within React?

In the meantime, the good news is that Plot Projects fully supports React Native integration. This means that for any of you out there building apps using React or planning on doing so, we’ve got you covered. For more information on how to integrate Plot Projects into your React-built app, feel free to check our documentation, our Github page on the topic or simply request a demo.
