Funny Sinterklass poems
“In Holland on December 5th, the adults give each other small gifts (like Secret Santa) which contain a poem filled with funny/embarrassing information about the person receiving it. The poem is written from the perspective of Sinterklass or Zwarte Piet as they are meant to know all your hidden secrets. Hiding the brooms
“When I was a young child I heard that Norweigans would hide all the brooms in their houses on Christmas Eve. Apparently that was prime time for witches and evil spirits to steal them and go joy-riding on them. I was fascinated by this tradition and I always looked out for witches riding around in the sky on Christmas Eve! Even though I was in the UK not Norway, I hid the brooms in our house – I didn’t want to take any chances!” *By Georgina, Marketing Consultant
The laptop gift – gone wrong!
“My family loves to play jokes during Christmas. When I was around 11 years old, laptops had just started to become really popular. Christmas was getting closer and I noticed 2 laptop-shaped boxes under the tree which were both pretty heavy. I ran to my older brother in excitement and told him “I think mom and dad got us both laptops!” Christmas comes around and we’re opening presents. I’m super excited thinking about the laptop. I grab the gift and start to unwrap it- then burst into tears. Competition opening and closing dates
The competition is open to everyone aged 18 years or over, except employees of PlotProjects, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the competition. The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary. All entries must be submitted via Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn comments (only one entry per person is permitted). Entries should be no more than 250 words long. The opening date for entries is 2pm CEST on Thursday November 18, 2021.
The closing date of the prize draw is 12 noon CEST on Saturday November 27, 2021. Entries received after this time will not be counted. PlotProjects accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
Announcement of the winner & conditions
A winner will be chosen by the marketing team on Tuesday November 30, 2021 and will be publicly announced via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. The winner will receive one 150 Amazon gift voucher in their chosen currency and one Christmas hamper from aletraC. The gift card will be digital and sent instantly. The hamper will be subject to shipping times. Shipping costs will be covered.
The winner and runners-up will be featured in a festive blog post over which PlotProjects will have full editorial control. The winner’s social media handle and/or name and photograph may be included in the blog as deemed appropriate by PlotProjects. PlotProjects reserves the right to edit any contribution featured in the blog.
The prize winner will be contacted on Tuesday November 30, 2021 and will be asked for their personal email address, whereby PlotProjects will make contact for their full contact details and postage address. If the winner does not respond to PlotProjects within 7 days, the winner’s prize will be forfeited and PlotProjects will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. The prize for the winner cannot be changed into a cash prize. The prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, offer or deal.
The decision of PlotProjects regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
Privacy terms & further conditions
The winner’s name can be obtained by sending an email to info@plotprojects.com within one month of the date of the closing date of the prize draw. Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. PlotProjects reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. PlotProjects reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
Winners may be required to participate in publicity related to the prize draw, which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media.
Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize.
