Plot Projects is market leader in Geofencing technologies. We’ve started developing geofencing solutions back in 2011 and as Plot Projects was one of the first companies in the world to offer this technology, our current customers are spread out over the globe and include companies like Vodafone, Heineken and a large airliner. Our target group ranges from app developers to brands, retailers and media agencies. We offer them a comprehensive Geofencing Solution consisting of:
- several plugins to add Geofencing to a third party app (iOS/Android/Phonegap/Appcelerator/Xamarin),
- a dashboard to manage geofencing campaigns,
- extensive analytics,
- an API.
We are a startup with a small (12 people) but international (Dutch, Croatian, Russian, Portuguese and Egyptian) team and are currently looking for a developer to complement our scrum team. We are located in a nice and centrally located office next to Amsterdam Amstel train station which is well served by public transport .
Our company is growing rapidly. Working on our Plot Projects geofencing solution is very challenging on a technical level. We believe in Scrum (not in name only! 😉 ) and we only work with full stack developers so everyone can work on any ticket and can help each other. Everyone in our scrum team is involved with the entire process from design until deployment and all sprints are celebrated with a demo and drinks.
We are looking for
We are looking for a young (master / bachelor graduate in Computer Science or similar) developer who wants to work on complex and innovative systems. Our backend is built in Scala, but you’ll have to be a full stack developer in order to work on our frontend, plugins, databases, API and Continuous Integration/Deployment pipeline as well.
We don’t expect you to master all these fields of expertise yet; we train our developers internally and our developers are constantly mastering new fields of expertise on the job. This is why we are looking for someone who is smart, ambitious, studious and has strong analytical skills and who likes to attend and organize events to stay on top of new developments and share our knowledge.
All our developers have a lot of contact with our users, customers and potential customers. They contact us through our online support ticketing system or via questions on Stack Overflow. We assist them with technical issues or advise them on setting up their geofencing campaigns. We are looking for someone who is customer friendly, understands our customers needs and can turn these into designs and specifications of (technical) solutions.
We are offering
At Plot Projects you’ll have the opportunity to work with bright minded colleagues who master the new and promising language of Scala and can bring you up to speed in no-time. You’ll improve your skills with internal training, learning on the job and by attending events (e.g. Scala Days Berlin, GOTO Amsterdam, Devoxx Antwerp, Scala meetups, Android meetups, etc.). You’ll have the opportunity to work on the latest technologies in cloud and mobile.
We offer a fun, relaxed yet professional working environment in an innovative, ambitious and international team and a professional Jura espresso machine!
Start: as soon as possible
Working time: at least 32 hours a week (preferably 40 hours a week)
